A great reason to buy Katy Perry's new single

If a supporter of the morons in the Occupy [Insert Random Location Here] Movement is calling for a boycott of Katy Perry's new single, it seems like the perfect reason to BUY it.

Katy Perry: Offending Occupy [Insert Random Location Here] Supporters since 2012

If you are as offended by Naomi Wolf's disdain for free expression, and for those who protect her right to be an obnoxious bitch, I don't recommend you boycott her; only idiots who support "movements" like Occupy [Insert Random Location Here] call for boycotts. Instead, I suggest you buy a copy of Katy Perry's "Part of Me" single.

Get "Part Of Me" from Amazon.com in MP3 format by clicking here.

And watch the horrifyingly offensive video right here at Cinema Steve!

(By the way, I am such a big fan of Katy Perry that I had to a) look up the spelling of her name, and b) correct the title of the song when I first referenced it in a draft of this post--the song is NOT titled "All of Me" like I initially wrote. In other words, I am NOT a fan of Katy Perry, and I wouldn't be giving her coverage and free advertising if some censorship-happy cow hadn't started calling for a boycott. I wonder how it will work out for her?)

  1. I think that the greatest obstacle to the Occupy movement - apart from their obvious lack of any coherent manifesto or demands - is those that have alligned themselves with the cause. while, for the most part, I support any man or woman who would make a stand against the bastards who got us into this mess in the first place - it DOES leave a filthy taste in the mouth that NO ONE has been held accountable or punished for the consequences of their greed - what I don't need is self-serving "right on" celebs wringing their hands and spouting primary school level political sound bites in a craptastic effort to convince me that We Are All In This Together. we are NOT in this together. come back and see me when you have to make a choice between getting a bus fare into work ( assuming, of course, you're lucky anough to actually have a job ) or buying a loaf of bread, and then, just MAYBE, we'll talk.

&, in regards to the military, while I am, by nature, a pacifist and deplore all forms of violence, I also have nothing but respect and admiration for anyone, man or woman, who would believe in their country/home/family enough to want to put themselves in the line of fire to protect it.

so what if Katy Perry's new video is a big old pat on the back for the army? maybe, just maybe, they deserve a pat on the back? I don't agree with the prescence in the middle east of either American or British troops, but I DO believe that you DON'T rag on your boys when their out in the field. frankly, it's just not Cricket.

Naomi Wolf Wolf can go fuck herself. I am sick & tired of opportunist "celebrities" trying to get on "my side." do me a favour, Naomi, luv: piss off.

  2. So I'm left to conclude that Naomi Wolf hates the Marines and hates the military, and hates the USA.

This is why I want nothing to do with the Occupiers.

  3. I think we're in one mind, Joe. :)

If the front people and rank-and-file of the Occupy [Insert Random Location Here] Movement could hold a coherent thought for more than five minutes, I would only be half as disdainful of them.

  4. Tom: I give Wolf the benefit of the doubt. I assume she's just an idiot.
