Al-Qaeda and radical environmentalists:
Green peas in a pod?

Osama bin Laden and his groupies lay awake at night and masturbate to fantasies of murdering anyone who doesn't agree with them. So, apparently, do members of some well-funded environmental groups. How else can one explain this little video?

The group that created the video has posted a statement on their website that "apologizes" for it and calls it a "mistake." My guess would be that they regret revealing what their true and sincere dreams are for anyone who doesn't worship as they do, just like members of al-Qaeda... only with less courage of their convictions.

  1. I know one environmentalist who said that he thinks Republicans ought to be sent to "green re-education camps"....
I can see exactly what you mean.

  2. The irony for me is that I was basically raised with a conservationist mindset, and I practice what these whack-jobs preach in many cases. I'm not at diligent about recycling as I could be, but I rarely turn on the heat in my house, don't have AC [of course, both of those are due to the fact I live in Washington State, a nice rainforest area with mild climate year-round], rarely have the lights on in more than one room, I don't drive any more than necessary, I bring my own cute little bags on most shopping trips, and so on and so forth.

But I can't stand the hypocrisy of the high priests of the doomsday cult that is the modern environmental movement, and I am evermore disgusted by the posture their worshipers have been taking.

  3. The only thing this video accomplished is that it made me want to have nothing to do with the organization.

  4. That seems to be a pretty common reaction. Now there truly is "no pressure" to treat 10/10/10 like just another day in October.

  5. Here's the text of an email that one of the main people of the group behind this video sent out the morning it was released. Sounds to me like this video was EXACTLY the message they wanted to convey.

    “Hello 10:10ers,

Even by my not-entirely-downbeat standards, I really am extremely over-excited to tell you that our Richard Curtis-written mini-movie, “No Pressure”, is premiering right now on the front page of the Guardian website, see pic below. (If it’s off the Guardian by the time you get this message, you can watch at: http://www.1010global.org/no-pressure )

The 4-minute mini-movie stars The X-Files’ Gillian Anderson, together with Spurs players past and present – including Peter Crouch, Ledley King and David Ginola – and features music donated by Radiohead. It’s a fairly simple and to-the-point premise, I’m sure you’ll agree: we celebrate everybody who is actively tackling climate change… by blowing up those are aren’t. So if you’ve ever wondered what the inside of David Ginola looks like, here’s your chance to find out.

I am completely blown away, pun intended, by the sterling efforts from our 40-person professional film crew, who all donated their time and equipment for free. Please, please, please, please forward the info below to as many friends and pretend facebook friends as you possibly can manage without getting sacked from your job, as that’s by far our best chance of going viral and waking a whole load more people up to the climate crisis.

Thanking you all very much. And looking forward to seeing everybody in action next weekend for 10:10:10.

    Onwards and upwards,

    Franny
Founder of 10:10 and Director of The Age of Stupid”

Not only are they sick in the heart and head, but (at least Franny) is also the worst kind of hypocrite. Unless her name was put on the "apology" without her consent.

  6. Interestingly, the "apology" I made reference to in my post has since vanished from the 10.10.10 website/blog. It's been replaced with a far more vague statement that attempts to erase the grossness and nakedly displayed murder fantasies of the video. Here's a link to the new "apology",which is little more than an attempt to suck up to financial donors who have recognized that unless you're Hamas, CAIR, or Sinn Fien, associating with homicidal maniacs is bad for your public image.

  7. Apologizing for an apology. SIGH!
