It was less than a day after the well-justifed arrest of fugitive from justice and child rapist Roman Polanski that dozens upon dozens of celebretards were calling for the release of the Great Artist. To them, it didn't matter that he drugged and raped a young girl, some of them even going so far as to saying that it wasn't rape at all.
But they seem to care little about an Iranian filmmaker that has been arrested by the Mad Mullahs for no reason other than apparently attending a memorial service.
Why does anything think the opinons of these morally bankrupt perverts should have any bearing on what the rest of us do or think?

Steve, Thank you very much for re-posting my blistering Big Hollywood editorial here. Not for my sake, but for the sake of the unjustly entombed Jafar Panahi and his most worried wife, family and friends. His situation could not be more precarious.
ReplyDeleteThis oped may cost me my screenwriting career in Hollywood. But given the current brain-dead inmates running the Tinseltown asylums, is it really worth working there today?
Again, many thanks! Most Sincerely and Respectfully, Johnny Simpson
You're welcome. I'm looking forward to reading Part Two. (I also found the response column you linked to at Boston Phoenix to be interesting.)
ReplyDeleteSteve, The Phoenix is in for a few unpleasant surprises when Part Two comes out. It makes them eat their own words about criticisms they made of me. Then again, Lefties aren't known for their brains, are they?
ReplyDeleteHe did seem to overreach a bit, given that your posistion isn't completely laid out yet.
