Look kids! Comics!

For a little over two years now, I've been producing comics anthologies through NUELOW Games. This is probably not news to most of you, but if it is, now is the perfect time to check out one or more of the wide variety of titles that are available.

Each of the books are in PDF format and contain anywhere from 24 to 68 pages of Golden Age comics, augmented with new fiction, roleplaying game rules, and/or biographical material about the creators. From now through Saturday 3/7/2015, most of the comics are on sale for 30 percent off the regular price, so now is the perfect time to check them out. Some of these comics have never been collected in one place before, and few have been reprinted since they originally appeared in the 1940s and 1950s.

Hacker assholes threaten '9/11 style' attack on movie theaters

Fuck those assholes. Fuck their demands.

I never see films on opening night, because I prefer half-empy to nearly empty theaters. It was something I developed a liking for back when I wrote movie reviews for a living, and because I don't like crowds. But I will make an exception for "The Interview." This is a film that only looked mildly interesting to me when I saw the preview. It was a film I was probably going to skip--as I do most movies these days--and MAYBE get around to it in two-three years if even then.

But these fuckers who hacked Sony's computers and stole scripts, emails, and payroll information have made sure that I will see this movie in a theater, on opening night, if at all possible. I almost always feel an obligation to see a movie that this or that collection of twats has called for a boycott against... and that obligation has just been placed upon me ten-fold with this one.

Fuck those assholes. Fuck their demands.

Best-selling NUELOW Games titles in November

Here are the best-selling titles for NUELOW Games this month. Our sales were not quite as strong as in October, and I don't think the Thanksgiving sale made a difference one way or the other; our prices are already so low that knocking a bit off the price won't entice anyone that wasn't going to buy anyway.

Next year, i think I'll just say, "Look! We've got stuff on sale for Black Friday!" (because we've got stuff on sale every day as it is....)

I did this, because I remain woefully under-employed and I might as well do SOMETHING with my time when not trying to line up work. N is for Ninja. N is for November. And while we're at it, N is also for Nine.

Last year, I declared November 1 - 9 as the Nine Days of the Ninja. Well, since November 1 - 9 only comes around once a year, I'm doing it again. I will once again be posting reviews and other Ninja-related items across my various blogs--and will even be releasing a Ninja supplement for "ROLF!: The Rollplaying Game of Big Dumb Fighters" through NUELOW Games--in celebration of the Nine Days of the Ninja.

Since playing with myself is not as fun as it might sound when there are Ninjas involved, I am inviting the rest of the blogging world to join with me in a celebration of the world's best-known secretive assassins. Maybe we can make a real blogathon out of this!

If you want to draw a cartoon or two of the Prophet Mohammed (may peace be upon him), but don't want the hassle of hosting them yourself, I'll happily post them on this blog on May 20. That's the day when we extend a big "fuck off" to those who would abridge freedom of expression in the name of bizarre superstitions and death-cult idolatry.

I will post the cartoons with attribution or anonymously, whichever you prefer. Just let me know. (And if you are posting ones yourself, please send me a link.)

Whether I get 1 or 10 or 100 submissions, I may not post them all. I prefer funny and subtle cartoons over ones that are just mindlessly offensive. Click here for a look at my taste in Mo-ronic blaspheming, or on the Everybody Draw Mohammed Day tag at the bottom of this post.

(BTW, the world is reportedly ending May 21, so you might as well get in on the action. You'll have nothing to fear from angry idol-worshipers who believe stick figures and pictures of kittens labeled "Mohammed" have the power to corrupt human souls. On the other hand, you may go straight to Hell. But, frankly, that'll be the better place if Paradise is home to scum like Osama bin Laden, the Magical Mullah Omar, and Anwar al-Awlaki.)

Maybe I'm still feverish from the flu, but...

... I've made up my mind to take part in the "Blogging From A to Z April Challenge" for the month of April.

Although doing "31 Nights of Halloween" back in October almost broke me over at Terror Titans, I'm thinking this is one daily blogging event I can do with ease.

First of all, it's tailor-made for a blog like this, as all I have to do is post about something that starts with the appropriate letter of the alphabet. A piece of cake, so long as I remember to do it!

So, for all of April, there will be a post every day here--except Sundays. I hope you'll check in from time to time to track my progress toward victory or failure!

(BTW, my friend Jeff Grubb is also taking part in the "Blogging From A to Z April Challenge" over at Grubb Street. It was his post that reminding me of the event and made me decide to give it a shot, too.)

In November, legendary assassins will be lurking in the shadow-filled corners of Cinema Steve and the associated blogs Shades of Gray, Terror Titans, Watching the Detectives, and Movies You Should (Die Before You) See when the Nine Days of the Ninja Blogathon strikes like a throwing star to the forehead!

All the revealing posts about these secretive Magicians of Death will be indexed in in this space. It would be extra Ninjalicious, however, if the masked marauders showed up not just on my blogs but also in other places on the web.

Tectonic Tuesday: The Hiatus

Since April--not counting the requisite, culturally sensitive break for Ramadan--I have been undertaking a one-man effort to spread the truth revealed by the Imam, the most holy man in all of Iran and possibly the entire world, Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi. It was He who revealed that immodest women cause earthquakes, as I explained in this post.

For the time being, however, I will not be posting weekly Case Studies. With the new Mohammed Mondays series at Shades of Gray, and Nine Days of the Ninja coming soon to all the blogs, I just don't have time to do the indepth research needed to keep Tectonic Tuesdays going. And I don't want to do anything but the most thorough job when it comes to the threat of immodest women, a threat even greater than global warming. (Al Gore would never get involved with shoddy research, and I want to be just like my role-model in crusading.)

But, as I put Tectonic Tuesday aside, I want to leave you with a few immodest women to watch out for.

Beyonce is a fine singer, an actress of questionable talent, and a threat to the very ground beneath your feet when she prances around in next to nothing.



Carmen Electra, model-turned-actress, may tickle your funny bone in a range of comedies now, but how will you feel when her immodest ways brings your home down on top of you?



Even when she's dead, the threat of an immodest woman isn't lessened in this day of DVDs and streaming video. Ann Sheridan passed away in 1967, but many of her movies are still wildly available. And each time they are watched, an earthquake may be triggered!



Angie Harmon (currently starring in the "Rizzoli and Isles" television series) is a threat few consider. She keeps her clothes on most of the time, but she always portrays successful professional women who don't obey the demands and commands of men. Can anything be more immodest than that? (Plus, she's a Republican.)
